EMIWISE exists to make personal-finance maths visual and intuitive. Read this once before relying on any number our calculators produce.

Educational tool only

Every calculator on EMIWISE is an educational simulation. It is not a quote, an offer, or a contract. Numbers shown are indicative based on the inputs you provide and the formulas we publish openly.

Not financial advice

We don't know your full financial picture. Our outputs cannot substitute the judgment of a qualified financial planner. Before committing to a SIP, taking a loan, or prepaying one, please consult:

  • A SEBI-registered investment advisor for investment decisions.
  • Your bank or NBFC for actual loan terms, charges and eligibility.
  • A chartered accountant for tax implications.

Returns are projections, not promises

SIP and goal projections use a constant assumed annual return. Real markets are volatile - actual returns will vary year to year and may be higher or lower than projected. Past performance does not guarantee future returns.

Loan calculations are simplified

EMI, prepayment and foreclosure calculations use the standard reducing-balance method. They don't include processing fees, stamp duty, GST on charges, late-payment penalties, insurance premiums or floating-rate adjustments - all of which can affect your real outflow. Always cross-check with your bank's statement.

Foreclosure penalties

Foreclosure penalty rules vary by loan type and lender. RBI disallows penalties on floating-rate retail home loans, but other categories may charge 1–4%. Confirm your specific loan's policy with your bank before deciding.

Inflation, taxes and charges

Most projections on this site are in nominal rupees and don't adjust for inflation. They also don't account for tax on capital gains, dividend distribution, exit loads, expense ratios, or stamp duty. For long-horizon planning, mentally subtract inflation (~5–6% in India historically) to estimate real purchasing power.

No liability

EMIWISE accepts no liability for any financial loss arising from decisions made on the basis of its calculators or insights. Your money decisions are yours.
